A pioneer in the effective utilization of emerging film and video technologies, Jeffery has been the subject of numerous major media interviews, both on television (NBC, PBS, The Learning Channel, NHK-Japan) and in the press (Newsweek, Los Angeles Times, Ad Age, Adweek, Marketing News, Direct, Film & Video , Response TV, Electronic Media, etc).

Son of the well-known documentary/adventure filmmaker, John Goddard, Jeffery grew up surrounded by film production. He was a news anchor and TV reporter for KBYU while attending Brigham Young University and majoring in Communications / Broadcasting.  He also received a BA in Japanese and Intercultural Communications from the University of Hawaii. Jeffery has lived and traveled throughout Asia since 1979 and is totally fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Japanese, as well as reading some Chinese.

Joining OGILVY & MATHER Advertising in Honolulu and Tokyo, he became their youngest-ever manager as well as chief liaison with Ogilvy's partner, TOKYU AGENCY INTERNATIONAL (one of Japan's largest ad agencies).  He was instrumental in developing and overseeing TV ad campaigns for Sony, Singapore Airlines, Sunkist, Exxon, Yoplait, Lee Jeans and Canada Dry which have run in ten different countries, winning numerous awards.  He was instrumental in building Sony's billings from $5 million to $42 million in two years time.

Originally from Chicago, Mark graduated from the University of Arizona on a full Regent's scholarship in 1992.   During his past eight years in Los Angeles, Mark has directed and edited the majority of BWN's spotlights; four feature length films, numerous TV spots and videos for companies such as Nissan, CitiCorp, Four Seasons, Discovery World, Dannon and Satx; and several music videos for such label bands as "Buck O'Nine" and "The Business;"

Andrew graduated in 1994 from the University of Southern California in Marketing. He has spent the last six years in film production producing at Ridley Scott and Associates and working on major Hollywood motion pictures including "Man on the Moon," "All the Pretty Horses," "We Were Soldiers" and many others. He has produced, written and directed several TV pilots, short films and commercials and brings a creative, synergistic enthusiasm to TVA productions.

Previously, he founded GiraffeCam, a company that designed, produced and marketed innovative video equipment. He has a strong background in marketing and business development and is a national award winning artist and author.

John is a writer-producer with 14 years experience. Starting as a video tape editor cutting promos for motion pictures, he later worked as a post-production supervisor on international television programs and direct response programs like St. Jude Children's Hospital and Comic Relief. In 1992, he moved to Orange County and provided turnkey marketing communication solutions to a variety of Fortune 500 companies.

In 1995, he was hired by the Long Beach Fire Department to develop a 24 hour information cable channel. This work led to being asked by the City of Long Beach to research, write and direct a series of documentaries for young people on local history. He is accustomed to handling 20 to 40 person cast/crew and the most advanced technical equipment.

As a creative and strategic writer-producer, John has produced documentaries for many non-profit agencies, broadcast commercials and corporate marketing communication and training programs.

John is a graduate of USC's Cinema/Television school and their Advanced Studies Program : Writing Music for Films and Television. His passions include photography, art, aikido and foreign languages.

Jill holds a B.A. in Mass Comm. (TV/Radio/Film) with a concentration in TV broadcasting and a minor in Spanish from Emerson College in Boston - one of the top five communications schools in the country.

She moved to L.A. in 1990 and began freelancing in various areas of the entertainment business. Her experience ranges from being an assistant to agents & producers, working on the production of music videos, commercials and movies as well Production Managing a multimedia theme park experience for Walt Disney World and three feature films. In front of the camera, Jill has been an anchor/reporter for KREX, the CBS affiliate in Colorado. Before that she hosted & produced "El Segundo Magazine" and has also been a featured fitness expert and model on several exercise videos and tv shows. Jill is currently working with Olin on the pilot for TVA's new TV series "Class Action Court Report."

Jonathan Katkin - Producer

Jon has more than 13 years of professional experience in both journalism and marketing.

As a journalist, Jon has worked as a news writer for KNX 10.70 News Radio in Los Angeles, CBS Radio News in Manhattan, and at WBUR, a National Public Radio affiliate in Boston. Outside of journalism, Jon lived in the Silicon Valley where he worked as a Web/Communications producer at Quicken.com, writing copy for the Web site and e-mail newsletters on personal finance, investing, and small business issues for the Quicken.com user base. Additionally, he has worked as an editor at Gartner Consulting, and as a senior marketing writer for two start-up companies.

Jon is a graduate of Boston University's College of Communication.

 

Greg Smith - Producer

Greg Smith is an accomplished producer with over a decade of entertainment experience in the film, television, and video industries. Throughout his career, Greg has overseen the creation and development of feature films, cable television projects, commercials, music videos and mixed media projects. Recently, Greg produced Celebrity Outdoor Adventure, for The Outdoor Channel. This reality show highlights cutting-edge outdoor adventures featuring a different celebrity each episode.

Smith¹s credits also include BodyWorks Theater, a multi-media educational film combining computer-generated images and animation, cel animation and live action, for the California Science Center, programming for USA Networks/MXGtv, and international broadcast commercials.

Well-respected in the industry for his combination of creative talent and business acumen, Greg was a member of the production teams of several big-budget films including STARGATE (MGM), MORTAL KOMBAT (New Line Cinema), BOILING POINT (Warner Bros.), and FLYING TIGERS (Morgan Creek Productions).

 

James Johnson - Producer

With more than15 years of experience, James is an accomplished producer and journalist actively involved in covering business news in print, TV, and online. Previously, he was project director and producer for SBTV (Small Business Television), an online and broadcast network based in New York. He also worked as an editor for the New York Times Information Service. James holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University.

 

Polly Johnson - Producer

Started in New York City in advertising and moved over to the production side of the business in 1983. Over the last 21 years have moved up the ladder from secretary to producer. She has produced commercials that aired during the Super Bowl and in 2001 produced a Volkswagen commercial that won a gold at Cannes.

David Armstrong is an International Television Acquisition and Sales Executive with 17 years of wide-ranging experience in the industry. He has expertise in worldwide programming, scheduling and library acquisition. His award winning skills have been used successfully to market film packages, channel launches and international television sales. David was the Senior Vice-President International Television Sales at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM Studios). He was responsible for management oversight of all MGM product for Europe, Asia and Latin America, including free and basic cable television with an annual sales in excess of $150 million. Prior to this, he acted as V.P. Programming & Acquisition for USA Networks International and V.P. of Sales at Vestron Television. He was responsible for the creation of the division, hiring of all sales and operations staff, acquisition of product, quarterly budget & business planning, overall responsibility for packaging and sales of motion picture and television product in U.S. and Canada. Bobbie Stone has marketed over 1,000 filmed entertainment programs for worldwide distribution as well as produced and/or directed over two hundredtelevision and video programs. She attended New York School of Visual Arts majoring in filmmaking and directing.

 

Bud Connell is the CEO of Laguna Niguel, CA-based BCTV. His affiliation brings TVA over 40 years of film, video, entertainment, news, and broadcast experience. Bud will review and recommend candidates nationwide for news Spotlights, and offer additional commercial and PR licensing to the most newsworthy companies and organizations. He is the recipient of The Vision Award (National Winner) and seven Telly Awards.

 

Yurtsen Adiyaman started in Istanbul, in the advertising department for "Turkish Newspaper," one of the largest newspapers in Turkey in 1992. He managed the advertising for their TV stations until 1996 and then postponed his career to study English in London and NY.
